“It was November 1989, when Magus (also known as Magus Wampyr Daoloth – bass, vocals) and Makis
(also known as Baron Blood – 8-string bass, bass solos) met to start writing the first lyrics for a band which just
one night ago they decided to call NECROMANTIA. The guys were pretty excited and determined to create utterly
dark, evil and innovative music. Since both of them played bass they thought that it would be an excellent idea to
use an 8-string bass instead of the usual rhythm guitars. The very personal sound of NECROMANTIA was born!
Since 18 years now they are doing the devils work with respect and dedication to the Dark Forces we choose to
ally ourselves with. And, for 18 years they create their own sound instead of copying others, remaining loyal to
Black Metal music and to Metal Music in general. They dive into the very depths of Hell with Satan as their guide,
and through their music and lyrics they offer all their knowledge to you as well: Their personal experiences of the
Occult and Daemonic in a very honest and true way, since this is their way of life. NECROMANTIA never tries to
impress you with typical Black Metal pictures and imagery, it's just their music and lyrics that speaks for themselves.This their new album “The sound of Lucifer storming Heaven” is a fist in the face of contemporary
Black Metal. It is violent, aggressive and twisted the NECROMANTIA way! It is a proof Black Metal is not pseudo-
romantic Gothic tunes, but violence, brutality, sinister melodies, majestic atmosphere and most of all powerful
Metal feeling and creativity.”
